I'm so happy a friend suggested I buy this book. It was easy to read and super informative in regards to helping me understand my current health status and what I can best do to influence positive change. Amazing Dr. Amazing Book. Several years ago, I began looking for a new doctor after my doctor refused to work with me to get me off of my blood pressure medication. In my search, I found Dr. Jenn. My wife and I now both see Dr. Jenn and have transformed our lives (diet, stress management, exercise, environment and genetics). Unzip Your Genes puts genetic science into terms we can all understand. I figured out a long time ago that one diet does not fit all. It is so exciting to read that we can use the new technology of genomics to individual our diets. I had this genomic testing and it was so enlightening to understand why so many diets I had embarked on in the past just weren't right for my body. I now know what nutrients are most important for me to supplement and how to work WITH my body. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is on the journey to wellness.

If you've been told "it's just in your genes" or struggled with getting your health in order despite following all the recommendations, you may find this to be very helpful. The right diet and exercise routine doesn't have the same effect on everyone and genetics is a big part of that. I know many people who attribute things like difficulty with weight loss or high cholesterol to their genetics would find this helpful because it not only explains how genes play a role but also what to do about it. This book does have some complex ideas but explains them in simple, easy to understand ways. There is a genetic test you can do through Dr. Jennifer Stagg (the author) for a lot of the genes she talks about, but it isn't required to benefit from the advice in the book. Highly recommend!

This book is so helpful - Dr Stagg shows the effects of foods on our bodies and why certain foods affect people differently and gives practical ways to do it. It's an enjoyable read as well.

In this amazing book, Dr. Stagg has successfully connected the dots that so many of us spend countless hours and dollars, trying to figure out. She operates at the crossroads of science, mindfulness, health and wellbeing. Dr. Stagg teaches us that by understanding our unique genetic code, we focus our effort, time, and money in the right place to make the most significant life long change. She reminds us that our unique genetic code can be a wealth of information in our quest for finding the best way of eating, moving our bodies, and managing our health. I hope anyone that has worked hard to make changes and not seen or felt the results they wanted, will pick up this book!
